I see other businesses who are copying the competition. Do you see it too?

The competition says they’re getting this, and so what happens? Businesses that are competitors, all start saying they are getting this too. The competition uses new wording, which means those same competitors will use the same new terminology.

Don’t be a copycat!

If you do find the competition are expressing a new idea or a new trend in your industry, I think your business needs to talk about it too but be original.

Have your original ideas.

There are no original ideas in the world, right now. Well, I’m sure there are, but most ideas we think of, are ideas that already exist. You need to take that idea ‒ and there’s nothing wrong with that ‒ take it but tweak it to make it your own!

I want to see what makes YOU STAND OUT from the crowd. What makes you unique? What makes me need to buy from you instead of your competition? If you both sell products a, b, and c, why do I need to go to you and not your competition? This is what I want to see! This is what your customers want to see!

Stand out from the crowd.

Put your branding colors on your photos, your quotes, your posts.

You know what? This takes time to do. It doesn’t happen overnight but work on it. Work on standing out from the crowd. We are all unique in our own ways, and we need to stand out. Let people know your uniqueness, let people know your greatness, and let people know why they need to buy from you and not your competition.

Get out there and make yourself visible so others can see you, know you, trust you and want to buy from you!
